Justin Bieber accused of spitting in former neighbour's face

Justin Bieber’s former neighbour is suing the pop singer for assault and battery, claiming he spat on him during a discussion nearly two years ago.

Jeffrey Schwartz and his wife, Suzanne, are suing Bieber in Los Angeles Superior Court for unspecified damages in excess of US$25,000.

The lawsuit claims Bieber spat in Mr Schwartz’s face during a dispute over the singer driving too fast in their Calabasas neighbourhood.

Bieber moved out of the area after throwing eggs at the couple’s’ home, causing roughly US$80,000 worth of damage.

The 21-year-old remains on probation after being charged with vandalism. He has repaid the family restitution for the damage he caused to their home.

Mr and Mrs Schwartz also claim Bieber caused them emotional distress because of loud parties and dangerous driving in their neighbourhood.

Bieber’s publicist, Melissa Victor, was not available for comment.
