Paddy Power have installed Jennifer Maguire as their 5/1 favourite to replace Dermot Whelan as the Republic of Telly’s main presenter.
The Limerick man announced his departure from the show this week.
Maguire is followed in the betting by a trio made up of comedians Jason Byrne, Neil Delamere and Colin Murphy with PJ Gallagher also amongst the front runners at 8/1.
The Baldoyle native wasn't always seen as a funnywoman - she was branded "the ice maiden" by British media after appearing on the fourth series of 'The Apprentice'.
Another of the series’ current line up, Bernard O’Shea, is at 14/1 to front the show along with Andrew Maxwell while The Viper is at 20/1 ahead of YouTube sensations Chris Greene and Peter Ganley who are at 25/1.
Eamonn Dunphy is an unlikely 100/1 to ditch the punditry while Gay Byrne, Dustin the Turkey and George Hook prop up the betting at an even more unlikely 200/1.
A spokesperson for Paddy Power said: “Jennifer Maguire has played a key part in the show’s success and seems the obvious choice to be given the reins but with so much comedic talent out there she may have a fight on her hands!”
