Irish actor Stuart Townsend will not face charges following a domestic incident with his wife in September in the US.
The actor's representative said the Santa Monica City Attorney has "rejected bringing charges against him" in connection with an argument he and his wife had on September 5.
Reports at the time said neighbours called police when they heard screaming coming from his Santa Monica home in California.
He was released after posting bail of $50,000.
In a video posted on TMZ, Townsend seemed to ignore questions asked about the night.
The 46-year-old was born in Howth, Dublin and is known for his roles in 'Abour Adam' and The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. He also guest starred in Will and Grace. He is the son of English golfer Peter Townsend.
