Helen Flanagan offended fans by saying they were "irritating" when they approached her in Australia.

The former 'Coronation Street' star is in the Southern Hemisphere to appear on the new series of 'I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here', but snubbed people who came up to her because she had been on such a long flight from the UK.

According to The Sun newspaper, Helen said: "This is irritating. I've just got off a two day flight and I've got people coming towards me."

When they tried to ask her about her participation in the ITV reality show - which this year also stars Charlie Brooks and Conservative MP Nadine Dorries - she responded by saying she didn't understand them.

She said: "I don't know what you mean. I'm not answering anything."

Helen - who has suffered from panic attacks in the past - also refused to take photos with fans.

A source added: "If she is like this now, what is she going to be like when she gets into camp?"

Other stars taking part including singer Ashley Roberts and darts star Eric Bristow.
