Extra EP tickets sell out in minutes but you can still volunteer at the festival

A limited number of Electric Picnic sold out in a matter of minutes after going on sale yesterday morning.

The extra tickets went on sale via the 3Plus app on Thursday but were snapped up by those first in line within minutes, leaving people who couldn't secure a ticket disappointed for the second time.

Don't panic just yet though because there is another way to make it to the festival grounds of Stradbally.

Volunteers are wanted for the Electric Picnic stages including the Trailer Park and The Salty Dog.

People who have festival, event or stage experience are welcome to apply.

Twitter user Amelia, who works in advertising, took to the social media platform in search for volunteers and asked anyone with the required experience to DM her.

The tweet read: "Hello my lovely Twitter friends. We are looking for volunteers to work across our stages (including Trailer Park & The Salty Dog) at Electric Picnic this year. If you have any festival / event / stage experience that would be great!"

This year's festival is set to be bigger than ever with an increase in capacity of 2,500 people, bringing the overall capacity to 57,500 people.

If previous years are anything to go by, there's no doubt it will be a memorable one.
