Electric Picnic to showcase new Forest Stage

The Electric Picnic arts and music festival is to feature a new Forest Stage this year, it was announced today.

Three separate DJ collectives will unite to curate the secluded house and techno music stage.

Friday night will feature DJs from 10 2 1, who are also responsible for what promises to be an innovative stage design.

Dublin collective T3, who have hosted and supported some of the biggest nights in Dublin, will provide the music on Saturday.

Sunday sees the return of Bodytonic to Electric Picnic as they celebrate 10 years in the business.

An all-encompassing audio-visual experience known as ‘Algorhythm’ will also feature, the audio provided by a massive Funktion 1 array, with visual elements from Dublin-based Block T.

The Electric Picnic music and arts festival takes place in Stradbally, Co Laois from Friday August 31 to Sunday September 2. Tickets are available from Ticketmaster.
