Disney is to make a short film follow-up to 'Frozen'.

The studio has confirmed that the new film will premiere in 2015 and will see the return of all the main original characters.

The log line for the film explains: "In 'Frozen Fever', it's Anna's birthday and Elsa and Kristoff are determined to give her the best celebration ever, but Elsa's icy powers may put more than just the party at risk."

What's more, it's also been confirmed that the eagerly awaited short film will feature a song from Oscar winners Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, while Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are set to return to directing duties.

Meanwhile, it was reported earlier this week that Disney has been offered AUS$21.6m (US$20.2m) by the Australian government to film 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales' in the country.

Variety.com reported that George Brandis, the Australian Federal Arts Minister, agreed the lucrative deal after lengthy negotiations with Disney.

Brandis explained: "The government is pleased to agree to Disney's request to enable earlier funding to be repurposed for the production of 'Pirates of the Caribbean 5'.

"Any decision to film productions in Australia is a commercial matter for Disney."
