Cyrus lashes out at paparazzo

Miley Cyrus has unleashed an attack on a photographer who died after taking pictures of Justin Bieber's car.

The 'Can't Be Tamed' singer lashed out at the paparazzo - who was struck by another vehicle in Los Angeles on Tuesday night as he was crossing a busy road after photographing the 18-year-old Canadian singer's white Ferrari - saying he should have known better.

The 20-year-old singer posted a string of messages on her Twitter site yesterday, saying: "Hope this paparazzi/JB accident brings on some changes in '13 Paparazzi are dangerous! Wasn't Princess Di enough of a wake up call?!

"It is unfair for anyone to put this on to Justin's conscious as well! This was bound to happen! Your mom teaches u when your a child not to play in the street! The chaos that comes with the paparazzi acting like fools makes it impossible for anyone to make safe choices. (sic)"

Earlier today Justin - who was not in the car at the time of the accident as he had lent the vehicle to two friends - offered his prayers to the late photographer and his family.

The pop superstar said: "While I was not present nor directly involved with this tragic accident, my thoughts and prayers are with the family of the victim.

"Hopefully this tragedy will finally inspire meaningful legislation and whatever other necessary steps to protect the lives and safety of celebrities, police officers, innocent public bystanders and the photographers themselves."

California Highway Patrol had stopped the sports car for a routine inspection when the photographer appeared. He had been told twice the situation was unsafe and to return to his car, according to CNN.
