ITV bosses will be hoping Simon Cowell's appearance on The X Factor tonight improves ratings.
Audience figures peaked at 9.2 million yesterday evening but that's down by almost two million on this stage last year.
Simon Cowell is to appear in the second bootcamp episode tonight, making calls to the judges from Miami where he's filming the US version of the show.
