Cole: All I want for Christmas is a … puppy

Cheryl Cole wants a puppy for Christmas.

The Girls Aloud singer has told her family members she would love to find a new pet in her stocking, but they have already turned down her request.

She said: "I want a puppy, which I've already been told is a no-no."

However, perhaps the 28-year-old beauty could put the same gift request to her boyfriend Tre Holloway as she admits she hasn't asked him for anything.

She told the Daily Star newspaper: "I haven't asked for anything from Tre - I actually don't want anything."

And Cheryl is unlikely to receive any gifts from her bandmates Sarah Harding, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts and Nadine Coyle - because she has scrapped plans to host a pre-Christmas dinner for them at her house.

The 'Parachute' hitmaker felt it would "spoil" the big day - and admitted her cooking is too terrible to host anyway.

She said: "I was the one put forward [to host] but my theory is it spoils your Christmas dinner, no?

"You look forward to your Christmas dinner and then you have one a week before.

"I think they nominated me for a laugh because I can't cook."
