Blink 182 tour without Travis

Blink 182 will tour without drummer Travis Barker.

The rocker confirmed he won't be able to join the band in Australia in February 2013 due to his fear of flying, which stems from his narrow survival of a plane crash in 2008 which left four people dead.

Travis tweeted: "Had a blast playing The Eden Project, St. Austell, UK! Thank you."

A fan replied: "Hey, there's this place called Australia that would love to see you guys too..."

Referring to his bandmates, the rocker responded: "Mark and Tom will be there in Feb of next year but with a fill in drummer cause I don't fly. Sorry brotha."

Travis recently said he is doing his best to overcome his fear for the sake of his children and band mates Mark Hoppus and Tom DeLonge.

He said: "I'm contemplating getting knocked out and getting on a plane to Australia.

"I want to overcome that eventually. When I do, I think it's going to be Qantas. They never had a crash, never had a fatality - knock on wood.

"It's something I want to overcome for me - and my kids are scared to death to fly. I want them to witness me overcome it."

Blink 182's European tour kicked off on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, singer Mark Hoppus recently collaborated with Owl City on new track 'Dementia'.

Owl City's Adam Young explained: "It sounds like an older B-side, rarity Blink track. It's so cool. It's such an honour."
