Adele: No more break-up albums

Adele is "done being a bitter witch" and will not write another break up album.

The 'Rolling in the Deep' singer won six Grammy Awards last night for her second record, '21', penned in the wake of her breakup from a lover, but will concentrate on more positive lyrics for her next album.

She told Vogue magazine she is "done being a bitter witch", and vowed to "never write a break-up record again."

Adele, 23, added people assume she is "miserable" because of melancholy songs like 'Someone Like You', but they end up "surprised" when they meet her and find she is actually cheerful and upbeat.

Meanwhile Tom Jones has urged the young star to sing the theme for new James Bond film, 'Skyfall'.

Jones, who recorded the title song to the spy series' 'Thunderball', which he performed at the British Academy of Film and Television Awards (BAFTAs) last night, said: "I was 22 when I did the 'Thunderball' song and it changed my career and was a huge honour.

"Not that she needs it, but Adele would be the perfect choice for doing 'Skyfall'."

Adele has previously said she is unlikely to start on her third album for some time, as she wants to take time out away from recording and performing.

She said: "I'm really looking forward to some time to do nothing. I imagine I'll be 25 or 26 by the time my next record comes out.

"I'm just gonna lay some concrete, set up home and just 'be' for a bit. I'll disappear and come back with a record when it's good enough."
