Around 30 protesters at the Manchester Fuels Terminal at Trafford Park, Greater Manchester have succeeded in turning back tankers.
Paul Ashley, one of the leaders of September's fuel blockade, says protesters have persuaded a number of tanker drivers to turn back at the gates of the TotalFinaElf terminal.
Police later arrived and cordoned off the area.
There have also been demonstrations outside oil depots at Jarrow on Tyneside and Fawley, in Hampshire.
Mr Ashley said: "It is intended to carry out short, sharp spontaneous guerrilla-style protests at fuel depots across the country.
"We said in September we would be back in the New Year if we weren't happy with what the Government had done about the high cost of fuel.
"We were also told to campaign at election time - well it is now the New Year and we are nearing an election.
"We intend to carry out a steady stream of protests until the Government acts on the high price of fuel."
A spokeswoman for Greater Manchester police said: "A pre-planned police response was put in place with the full co-operation of demonstrators and management.
"Fuel delivery vehicles were able to drive freely and safely and fuel supplies are running as normal. "
