Danny Mills has opened talks with Leeds over a new five-year contract, his advisor has revealed.
The England full-back, who scored the opening goal in Monday’s 3-0 win at Bolton, has two and a half years to run on his current deal but will be due a new deal upon earning his next international cap.
Mills’ advisor Neil Featherby has held preliminary talks with the club over a new deal and chairman Peter Ridsdale is currently considering what package to offer the 25-year-old.
Featherby told BBC Sport Online: “We’ve had initial talks with the chairman with reference to a new contract for Danny and I would like to think they were positive.
“Now Peter Ridsdale has gone away to digest what we have put to him and the ball is in his court now. We will wait for him to come back to us.”
