Ashanti had to be rushed off stage during a concert in Nigeria after male fans tried to storm the stage.

The singer, wearing just a tiny top and hot pants, whipped the 10,000- strong audience into a frenzy after dragging a male fan onstage for a private dance.

Hordes of others suddenly tried to rush towards the singer, and had to be restrained by guards while Ashanti was whisked into the wings.

The concert was organised to raise awareness of agencies helping to fight HIV/AIDS in Nigeria.
