The Progressive Democrats are calling for the introduction of Internet voting in a bid to increase the "alarmingly low" turnout amongst young people.

The Progressive Democrats are calling for the introduction of Internet voting in a bid to increase the "alarmingly low" turnout amongst young people.

The party wants the State to pay for the technology to introduce the option of voting online.

It is claimed Internet voting would immediately remove the need to travel to polling booths, and would boost young voting turnout.
