New Euro banknotes will be distributed within the next two weeks in countries which have agreed to use the currency.
Euros will not become legal until next year but 28,000 sets of the new notes are being sent out so blind and deaf people can get used to them.
The Euronotes are identical to the real thing - except they have the words No value emblazoned on the reverse.
"They are just a working instrument for people who need more time to learn how to work with it," said a spokesman for the European Commission.
