Search for woman continues until dark
The search is continuing into the evening in Co Wicklow for a woman reportedly abandoned and tied to a tree.
Gardai launched the search after an anonymous caller claimed to have seen the woman tied up beside Blessington Lake in Co Wicklow.
"The search is continuing this evening but is likely to be scaled down later. We had an inspector at the scene but we have found nothing as yet," a garda spokesman said.
The search will be scaled down later and will re-commence in the morning.
The Garda helicopter unit and dog units from both Dublin and Cork are involved in the search which began last night and continues today.
