Rotherham scrum-half Jacob Rauluni is among three new players called up by injury-hit Fiji.
Rauluni had been in the South Sea Islanders’ original squad, but then controversially pulled out, claiming he was retiring from the international game.
However, Raulini did make himself available to cover for injuries and will jet out to Australia as replacement for Sami Rabaka, who fractured a bone in his hand during Thursday’s win over Japan in Townsville.
Raulini is expected to arrive on Tuesday, along with number eight Mesake Davu and stand-off Isikeli Nacewa, who is taking the spot of Fiji’s best-known player Waisale Serevi, who broke his collar bone against Japan.
Davu will replace Alifereti Mocelutu who became the third member of the Fiji squad to break a bone against the Cherry Blossoms, suffering a fractured forearm.
Fiji have one Pool B game left, against Scotland at Aussie Stadium on November 1, when victory would probably take them into the last eight.
