All-Ireland Club Hurling Champions Athenry have been confirmed as the latest signing for the Eircell sponsorship stable.

The Galway Champions officially confirmed the deal last night at a press conference in Athenry.

A two-year trial period has been put in place, with further extensions continuing the contract if Athenry continue their successful run.

The club hurling kingpins defend their national crown against Dunloy in the All-Ireland Semi-Finals this weekend.

Eircell already sponsor the All-Star Awards and Clare hurlers.
