Coldplay have entered a studio in London to begin work on their third album.

MTV.com reports that work began on Tuesday and that Coldplay have reunited with Ken Nelson, who also produced both 'A Rush of Blood to the Head' and 'Parachutes'.

Demos were recorded last autumn in Chicago but a spokesperson for Coldplay's label said that the album probably wouldn't reach stores until 2005.

Next week Coldplay are up against Eminem and Beyoncé for Record of the Year at the 46th Grammy Awards.
