The Labour Court has summoned both sides in the Aer Lingus pay row to talks today in a final bid to avert Friday's strike.

IMPACT's cabin crew is due to meet later today to finalise details of the strike and name a further two dates for next week.

Last Wednesday, cabin crew picketed airports at Dublin, Cork, Shannon and Heathrow grounding the entire Aer Lingus fleet.

IMPACT say the pay deal proposed by management would force cabin crew to work 35 years to earn a salary of £25,000.
