Talks are expected next week in an effort to avert industrial action in hospital casualty departments across the country.

Talks are expected next week in an effort to avert industrial action in hospital casualty departments across the country.

The Minister for Health, Micheal Martin, has appealed for nursing unions to sit down with hospital managers to thrash out a programme for improvements in Accident and Emergency units.

However, the INO has said real offers must be on the table if there is to be any progress.
