Terry Wogan is to go head-to-head with ITV1’s This Morning with his new daytime chat series.
TV channel Five has revealed the broadcasting veteran’s new hour-long programme will start at 11am – up against the long-running show.
And Wogan’s show – to be co-hosted with Gaby Roslin – will similarly be shot in a studio overlooking the River Thames.
The programme will come live from a studio in the County Hall building in central London, above the new Saatchi gallery from June 2.
Fern Britton and Philip Schofield present their show less than a mile away.
Trevor Hyett, series editor of The Terry And Gaby Show, said of his new presenters: “They have a great track record of working together. They like each other and their styles are very compatible.”
