Media tycoon Rupert Murdoch has been spotted leaving 11 Downing Street - but it is uncertain whether he visited Chancellor Gordon Brown.

Media tycoon Rupert Murdoch has been spotted leaving 11 Downing Street - but it is uncertain whether he visited Chancellor Gordon Brown.

Murdoch's news organisations, such as The Sun, have been cultivated assiduously by New Labour.

A Treasury spokesman said the Treasury never discussed the Chancellor's diary.
