Vomiting bug raises concerns at Beaumont

The outbreak of the ‘winter vomiting bug’ continues to cause concern at Beaumont hospital today.

The outbreak of the ‘winter vomiting bug’ continues to cause concern at Beaumont hospital today.

Ambulances have now been diverted away from the Accident and Emergency unit.

In addition, the public have been warned to stay clear of the hospital unless it is absolutely necessary.

It is thought that up to 10 medical staff have now been infected by the virus. Symptoms include vomiting and dehydration.

Furthermore, the virus has hit most of Beaumont’s wards and all non-emergency cases have been cancelled.
