Gardai still to talk with father of stabbed family

Gardai are maintaining their armed presence at Ballinasloe hospital where they hope to question 32-year-old Greg Fox in relation to the murders of his wife and two sons over the weekend.

Gardai are maintaining their armed presence at Ballinasloe hospital where they hope to question 32-year-old Greg Fox in relation to the murders of his wife and two sons over the weekend.

Post mortem examinations on the bodies of Debbie Fox and her two sons, Killian, 7, and Trevor, 9, have been carried out have revealed that they died from multiple injuries.

A knife and a hurley were both recovered from the house in Castledaly in Co Westmeath.

The gardai are waiting for Mr Fox to recover before questioning him.

He was found in a semi-conscious state on Saturday evening in the house and gardai say that they are not as yet looking for anyone else in relation to the deaths.
