Wexford champs Rathnure will wait until the 11th hour to rule Paul Codd in or out of Sunday's Leinster club showdown with O'Loughlin Gaels.
The Wexford skipper has been crocked with a knee injury since the county final but is seen as vital to their chances of beating the Kilkenny favourites.
Rathnure boss Seamus Murphy said: "It's doubtful if he will be sufficiently recovered to play a match. He took a heavy knock in the county final. He had a scan on Monday but he won't have the result of that for a day or two.”
