AIB directors still locked in talks over Ludwig report

The directors of Allied Irish Bank and its US subsidiary, Allfirst, are still locked in talks in Dublin and are not expected to face the media until tomorrow at the earliest.

The directors of Allied Irish Bank and its US subsidiary, Allfirst, are still locked in talks in Dublin and are not expected to face the media until tomorrow at the earliest.

The senior bankers are meeting to discuss the Ludwig report into an alleged $691m (€789m) fraud at the Allfirst branch in Baltimore.

The meeting began yesterday and the contents of the report are still unknown.

It is also unknown if anyone will lose their job as a result of the alleged fraud.
