Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, says he would have no problem going back into Government with the PDs and is recommending transfers to them on polling day.

Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, says he would have no problem going back into Government with the PDs and is recommending transfers to them on polling day.

Mr Ahern was speaking on the Fianna Fáil campaign trail in West Cork.

He says an overall majority is not a real possibility for his party.

"I honestly believe from what we have, which is a very detailed constituency poll done in the cool light of day, that no one is going to be near an overall majority.

"That's why I have worked to build up a constituency base."
