Prince Harry has asked Michael Healy-Rae to send a paddy cap just like his to Buckingham Palace

Is there anything more Irish than meeting the Royals whilst proudly sporting a paddy cap?

Correction, is there anything more Irish as one of the Healy-Rae's meeting members of the Royal family and proudly sporting a paddy cap.

Michael Healy-Rae had the pleasure of meeting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle during their current visit to Dublin.

The Royal couple touched down on Tuesday evening and met Taoiseach Leo Varadkar and enjoyed a summer garden party in the British Embassy where guests included Vicky Phelan, Brian O'Driscoll and, of course, Michael Healy-Rae.

"During the meet and greet Prince Harry said he liked my cap and asked would it be possible to send him one to Buckingham Palace," the Independent TD for Kerry said.

Not long now until Prince Harry may be seen sporting it back home in Buckingham Palace.

Today the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will visit Áras an Uachtaráin, Trinity College, Croke Park and the famine memorial as the newlyweds take time to meet members of the public.
