Vidic likely to play

Manchester United’s Serbian defender Nemanja Vidic sat out a training session at the Nou Camp last night – apparently as a precaution – and is expected to play in the Champions League semi-final first leg against Barcelona tonight.

Vidic only returned to the side from a knee injury in the 1-1 draw against Blackburn at the weekend.

He said after the match the knee felt sore but that he was “ready for the next game”.

It is understood England full-back Wes Brown picked up a knock at Ewood Park and he trained away from the main group in Barcelona.
