Priest cuts links with campaign after FF complaints

A Co Kilkenny priest has stepped down as chairman of a campaign for a pedestrian crossing after Fianna Fáil members complained to the Bishop of Ossory.

A Co Kilkenny priest has stepped down as chairman of a campaign for a pedestrian crossing after Fianna Fáil members complained to the Bishop of Ossory.

Fr Pat Dalton had been supporting parents in Gowran looking for a crossing outside a primary school because they believe the road is dangerous.

As part of the campaign, signs attacking political parties had been put up throughout the village, but some have now been taken down.
