Funeral of second murdered soldier to take place today

The funeral of the second British soldier killed by dissident republicans in the North almost two weeks ago is due to take place in London this afternoon.

The funeral of the second British soldier killed by dissident republicans in the North almost two weeks ago is due to take place in London this afternoon.

Twenty-one-year-old Patrick Azimkar and his 23-year-old colleague Mark Quinsey were shot dead by the Real IRA outside Massareene army barracks in Co Antrim on March 7th.

Mr Azimkar's funeral service will be held at the Guards Chapel, Birdcage Walk in central London, this afternoon.

Mr Quinsey's funeral took place in Birmingham earlier this week.
