R&B superstar Beyonce Knowles leads the nominations for the UK's Music Of Black Origin (MOBO) Awards with mentions in four categories.
The former Destiny's Child beauty faces strong competition from Mary J Blige and Nelly Furtado for the Best International Female gong; and she is also up for the Best Song, Best Video and Best R&B Act awards.
Homegrown artists Corinne Bailey Rae and Kano have each scooped three nominations, with the Put Your Records On singer named in the Best UK Female, Best Song and Best Newcomer categories.
Garage rapper Kano is nominated for Best UK Male, Best Hip-Hop Act - a category which pits him against Busta Rhymes, last year's winner Sway and Kanye West - and Best Video.
The Black Eyed Peas, Gnarls Barkley, Outkast, The Pussycat Dolls and The Streets will battle it out for the Best Group Award on 20 September at London's Royal Albert Hall.
