Tipperary 3-21 Wexford 1-11
A five-star display from Tipperary ensured an easy win in today's NHL tie with Wexford at Nenagh.
Playing with the wind in the first half, the Premier county took the initiative from the start and had accrued a lead of 3-11 to 0-5 at the break. In form sharp-shooter Lar Corbett grabbed two of the goals, with Allstar Eoin Kelly getting the third.
The second half saw no improvement from Wexford as Tipp continued to take the game to them. To add to Wexford's woes they had Darren Stamp sent off for a late pull just after Paul Codd had goaled for them.
Wexford's Codd contributed 1-7 of his side's total but for Tipp, Eoin Kelly (1-6) and Lar Corbett (2-2) were the most prominent.
