The board of Crumlin Children's Hospital has said that no charity donations have been used to pay it's CEO.
In a statement the board said that it is aware of the concern caused by the 'top-ups' controversy - but while an extra allowance was paid to their Chief Executive, it was funded from commercial activities at the facility.
The HSE is currently asking hospitals tough questions after a review found top-ups were being used to flout the goverment's rules on pay, and boost funds for senior staff.
