Shamrock Rovers begin a new era in Tallaght Stadium tonight as the Hoops take on Sligo Rovers in their first proper home fixture since 1987, kick-off 8.05pm.
Greg Cameron is fit and will be in the Hoops squad. Stephen Bradley has recovered from a slight injury, while Darragh Maguire is near to full fitness and may be included.
Both Pat Flynn and Sean O’Connor are serving suspensions and are unavailable. Otherwise, Rovers are at full-strength.
Hoops boss Michael O’Neill said: “All the focus in the media this week has been on the opening of Tallaght Stadium, but for the players and the management team it’s been about the game.
“We’re pretty much at full strength and are looking forward to taking on Sligo Rovers. As last week’s opening games suggest, there’s not much between the ten teams and this will be a competitive season.
“We’ve had a look at Sligo Rovers, and I feel we can look forward to a good, open and entertaining first game in Tallaght. And our target is to start off with a win.”
Sligo boss Paul Cook will be without long-term casualties Chris Butler and Mauro Almeida, while Alan Keane is suspended.
