Almost 12,000 runners are due to take to the streets this morning for the 29th annual Dublin City Marathon, which gets underway at 9am.

This year marks a change in the ratio of overseas to Irish runners

In recent years over half the field has been comprised of overseas runners, but this year Irish entries make up 57% of the field.
