Ballymena stayed in the running for a top four spot in the All-Ireland League with a 29-07 victory over fierce Ulster rivals Belfast Harlequins.

Harlequins took a surprise 7-0 lead after just five minutes with a fine solo try by Greg Mitchell.

Ballymena, however, never really looked like losing and secured their win through tries by Ulster hooker Paul Shiels and former South African Currie Cup centre Huw Jones.

Another South African, Dirkie Strydom added seven kicks to claim the points.
