Coleen Nolan says her weight spelled end of TV career

Coleen Nolan claims being overweight cost her her presenting job on This Morning.

Coleen Nolan claims being overweight cost her her presenting job on This Morning.

Viewers of tonight's Celebrity Fit Club will see the presenter make the claim to her fellow contestants.

Coleen, one of the famous singing sisters, blames critics who savaged her appearance for her short-lived TV career.

"I think if I'm honest, if I'd been a size 10 or 12 then I think I'd probably still have a job," said Coleen.

"One of the quotes was about being fat, ugly and not pleasant to look at first thing in the morning. That's really nasty, that's just downright rude.

"If the critics had been reporting that I was really sexy or great it wouldn't have mattered if I couldn't do the presenting job. If I'd looked how they'd wanted me to look I think I'd still have a job."
