Man arrested after Galway shooting

Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with a shooting at a house in Galway City in the early hours of this morning.

Gardaí have arrested a man in connection with a shooting at a house in Galway City in the early hours of this morning.

The shotgun attack took place outside a house in the Ballybane area.

A car parked in front of the house was hit by the shotgun blast.

A number of people were in the house at the time of the shooting but nobody was injured in the incident.

The man is being detained under Section 50 of the Criminal Justice Act at Mill Street garda station.
