Dissident republicans are being blamed for an arson attack on the home of a Sinn Féin MP in the North in the early hours of this morning.

Two cars were set on fire outside the home of Stormont Regional Development Minister Conor Murphy in Camlough, south Armagh, at around 1am.

The family home was also vandalised with paint and a number of windows were scorch-damaged.

The Newry-Armagh MP's wife and children were at home at the time.

Mr Murphy has described the attack as cowardly and said he would not be intimidated by the perpetrators.
