French striker Steve Marlet has warned Fulham he will not be pushed out of Craven Cottage unless the deal is right for him.
Marlet admits it has not always been easy since his acrimonious £11.5m (€16.2m) move from Lyon – but he claims reports he is heading for the exit door are premature.
“I am still and always will be a fighter,” Marlet told L‘Equipe.
“I still have three years on my contract at Fulham. Today, nothing is decided in one way or another.
“If the directors want me to stay there is no problem. But I exclude nothing, not even returning to France or playing in another country.
“Simply, at 29 and at this stage of my career it would be difficult to agree to make financial sacrifices.”
