This afternoon’s meeting at Leicester has been given the go-ahead after the track passed a 7.30am inspection.
Officials had been worried that further rain may have caused problems, but a dry night has allowed the meeting to take place.
“We have passed the inspection and will race,” said clerk of the course Jimmy Stevenson. “We have had a dry night and the going remains the same – heavy on the hurdles track, good to soft, soft in places in the chase – and all flights will be jumped”.
