A forecast of frost and snow has prompted Yarmouth to hold a precautionary inspection at 7.30am ahead of tomorrow’s meeting.

The track is currently raceable after light snow overnight but temperatures could dip to below freezing tonight.

“It is set to snow on and off today and tonight and there is the possibility of frost,” said clerk of the course Charlie Moore.

“We have been given a range of temperatures from plus two to minus three overnight. If we did get frost and snow it would cause me to sweat a bit.”

The going is soft, heavy in places.
