Damon: I'll never make a bad Bourne movie

Matt Damon has vowed not to make a bad Bourne movie.

Matt Damon has vowed not to make a bad Bourne movie.

The actor – who has played Jason Bourne in three films in the action franchise – is preparing to meet with director Paul Greengrass to discuss making a fourth instalment but insists he would rather not go ahead if it would struggle to live up to the quality of the previous movies.

He said: “We both love the character, but if we do another we want to get it right. The only thing worse than not making another would be to make a bad one, so we have to proceed carefully.”

As well as another movie in the franchise, Damon also hopes to move behind the camera eventually.

He added: “Directing is something I really want to do but the parts I’m getting now and the directors and producers I’m working with are so great that I’m not in any hurry.”
