Convicted drug dealer John Gilligan is giving evidence to the High Court this week in an attempt to prevent the Criminal Assets Bureau seizing his property.

Convicted drug dealer John Gilligan is giving evidence to the High Court this week in an attempt to prevent the Criminal Assets Bureau seizing his property.

Mr Gilligan is claiming that most of his income was gained through gambling.

He claims any wealth he accrued did not come from crime, but from other business interests.

He had prepared four ring binder folders for the court, full of betting dockets relating to his income as a gambler.
