Clare death suspicious, say gardaí

Gardaí in Co Clare are treating as suspicious the death of a man whose body was found in a field six miles from Ennis this afternoon.

Gardaí in Co Clare are treating as suspicious the death of a man whose body was found in a field six miles from Ennis this afternoon.

The discovery was made by a local farmer at around 3pm in an area called Porteruane. The dead man, who had sustained extensive head injuries, has not yet been identified.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who may know of anyone in their 50s, 60s or 70s, who is missing, to contact Ennis Garda station.
