Bus carrying 60 children crashes in field

Sixty children narrowly escaped injury when their school bus swerved off the road and ploughed into a field near Omagh.

Sixty children narrowly escaped injury when their school bus swerved off the road and ploughed into a field near Omagh.

The accident happened in Drumlegagh Road South in poor road conditions at about 4pm yesterday.

A little earlier, a car carrying two people crashed into a field on the other side of the road.

No-one was injured in either accident but the bus driver was treated for shock.

Police have appealed for witnesses.
